ex81 Posted yesterday at 12:38 PM Posted yesterday at 12:38 PM (edited) Has anybody tried to work with the radio of the Corsair ? I mean calling ATC or whatever. Would be fine if you could talk about your experiences. I tried using it by following Reflected tutorial, but I was unable to get any contact. Think early accessis no fun. To much basic functions are missing. Edited yesterday at 01:01 PM by ex81 What goes up, must come down ! Gunfreak Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago If you made your own mission. Make sure that the radio presets are correct. I have my flight on radio 1 and carrier on radio 2.(I think historically it's home base on 1) but make sure the frequencies match. The Essex ATC is odd. There is a female voice. Waiting doubt would be a thing in WW2. It also seem go give wrong directions. Several degrees off. Maybe it's to place me behind the carrier at a certain distance. But the directions are off by enough degrees. You'd be hard pressed finding the carrier by following those directions. 1 i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
ex81 Posted 10 hours ago Author Posted 10 hours ago Thanks for the reply, but I will wait until some tutorials can teach me how to use the radio. What goes up, must come down ! The radio is just a switch with 4 frequencies. Works like the 4 buttons in the other allied warbirds. Isn't much of a tutorial. The switch Reflected show in his video is the correct one. If you can't reach ATC on any of the 4 presets. Then they aren't set up correctly in the mission. And it's set up in the mission editor exactly like all the other warbirds. i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
ex81 Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago Sounds easy. I `ll give it a try. So in the ME I select Frequenzy for Batumi, then I try the presets until Batumi answers, Is that all right ? And the switch has to show VOICE. What goes up, must come down ! No, in ME, select your plane, then in the right hand panel of the ME, select the comms tab (6th tab), and input the frequencies for channel 1-4. I use channel-1 for my flight. Channel 2 usually the Essex, and 3-4 for other flight or other airfields.
