RedBlueF0X Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Basically the title. IRIS-T triggers both the track warning of the F-16 RWR as well as the missile warning launch, which makes zero sense. It's an AESA radar, assuming it's a Giraffe 4a, so I'd expect it to be able to provide datalink guidance for the IRIS-T missile while in TWS-like mode. Especially when the missile drops the nose cone cap and switches to IR guidance, even then the RWR missile warning stays on.
Northstar98 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago This was noted in the changelog (though FWIW the radar used is a TRML-4D, though the radar is fairly similar to the Giraffe 4a). RedBlueF0X Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago Changelog only mentions erroneous warnings for missile launch. TRML-4D is also an AESA radar, so the tracking question still stands, unless i'm missing something obvious.
Solution currenthill Posted 1 hour ago Solution Posted 1 hour ago The specific known issue was condensed in the changelog. There is still work in progress in regards to making the IRIS-T SLM asset behave more realistic. 2 _____________________________________________________________ Military Assets for DCS by Currenthill Questions about my assets - check my FAQ!
