Hi :Ugra Media

I have just purchased Cold War Germany Map, and the map just needs a bit of attention.

Took off from Ramstein Airport and just by the airport, there is a lake. There are so many houses and buildings submerged in the lake .

Also comparison with Syria map, the FPS in Cold war Germany dropped about 20 FPS.

I am disappointed .

Could Ugra Media do something about these issues ?

The purpose of the writing is not a complaint but a report to Ugra Media so that they can be aware of those issues.

Do you understand?

please include a track replay and your dcs log so the team can take a look.

This could just be a RAM / pagefile issues and the terrain has not loaded.

thanks

Rule of thumb: When it says things like "disappointed", "does not meet expectations", "needs attention", it's a complaint.

When it says "This exact thing happened to me in this exact spot under these circumstances, here's a track file. Happy to provide more information if needed", it's a bug report.

-----

It's just so much easier for the devs when players provide all the pertinent information. Where did it happen? Did you try just once or can you reproduce that thing every time? Did you try to fix the issue? If so, what did you try already? Did you try in 2D and does it happen in 2D as well? What are your PC's specs? A short track showcasing the issue is always a big help.

Confirm right away you're not running mods, or deactivated all of them prior to reporting. Confirm you've already repaired DCS.

You know, that kind of stuff.

Hi

Thanks a lot for replying to me.

I have gone back and looked at the track, and I surprisingly noticed that the plane was actually flying over a piece of land. However, what I could see was water, water, everywhere.

Now I know the issue could be a VR-related issue. However, I own many maps , for example : Syria , Sinai , Nevada .... , only Cold War Germany is doing this to me . I have tried different headsets, and what I can see is that the same issue happens in the same location .

When a map is totally strange to you, you just do not know if the place should be a piece of land or a big lake.

Terrain has not loaded. When you notice “lakes” with housing floating, try pausing your sim - the missing textures will load after a small amount of time (this will prove this).

There is something slowing your ability to load, try reducing some settings and see what works.
I had similar with Syria for a while after it first came out, but several updates down the line when things are “polished” somewhat by the developer, it will improve. Syria now is extremely smooth for me. It’s still early days for the Germany map.
