Sometime ago Ugra said they will consider doing a Cold War vehicle pack after phase 3, this is my list of some of the vehicles that should be there, please feel free to correct me or to add your own ideas. Thanks.

NATO:

Tanks:

M-26: Early cold war, mostly US but also French and Belgian service.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M26_Pershing

M-41 Walker Bulldog: Used by everyone on the map.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M41_Walker_Bulldog#Operators

M-47: Almost every nation used this one.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M47_Patton

M-48: Another one that saw great use, US, Norway, Germany, Spain...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M48_Patton

AMX-13: A french strange concept, saw heavy export use, in Europe, France, Belgium and the Netherlands:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMX-13

AMX-30: French MBT, used by Spain as well.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMX-30

Warsaw Pact:

Tanks:

T-62, in Europe only the USSR used it, but in so huge numbers it needs to be here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-62

T-64, very advanced, very expensive. USSR only again:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-64

T-72: we would need either a soviet variant or even better the export M one, as this one was used by everyone and his aunt.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-72

Anyone know how can I make the images visible please?

There are of course some APCs and Recon vehicles needed, mostly for Warsaw Pact:

BRDM1: Recon vehicle, used by East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Poland and the USSR, really needed!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BRDM-1

BTR-152: APC, used by East Germany, Poland and USSR.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BTR-152

BTR-60: The 152 successor, badly needed, used by East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Poland and the USSR.

And finally some trucks, as many ones we have are very late cold war. Sorry If I miss any important one, this is not my expertise field.

For the allies, the Unimog, specially early variants like the 404 and 426...

For the soviets, oh the soviets and its allies...

Forgot to add a very important truck for our East German guys, the IFA truck, widely used in many variants and also widely exported cause it seems it had a very nice construction quality. Iraq used several hundred of them, and were in use during ODS. Iran used them also in great numbers, so it will be useful for both Cold War Germany map and Iraq map.

I think all your suggestions are very valid, however i think there should be a bit more focus on support (and maybe civilian) vehicles, structures and personnel instead of fighting vehicles.

Support vehicles and crew/soldiers is what you might see up close when starting on the ramp. A tank not so much. Furthermore a handful of civilian vehicles would offer a lot of options for interesting scenarios and would maybe sell the era (date the map) more than a military vehicle could. Tbh i wouldn't find it too jarring if East Germany would field a later model T-72 as long as the camo matches. Not ideal, not terrible imho...

SInce DCS is a flightsim first of all, we would def. need more bluefor SAM (should probably be Nike Hercules (?) iirc), first/second Gen MANPAD for both sides as well as time appropriate EWR/C2 and related assets for both sides.

I think one or two civilian airliners (one per block) would also help a lot, especially for scenarios in which the war doesn't go hot.

Some valuable suggestions here, I would particularly point out BTR-60, T-62, BTR-152, AMX-13 and IFA trucks since they are relevant not only to the East Germany map, but for building scenarios on other maps too (Iraq used IFA trucks, Israel and Argentina used AMX-13, Syria and Egypt had T-62s, BTR-60 were everywhere, etc).

I also agree that we should prioritize covering "blind spots" in units, such as:
1. We still don't have SA-4 Krug, used by both Soviets and GDR
2K11 Krug - Wikipedia

2. Cold War era static AAA we have is pretty much limited to ZU-23-2 and S-60. What we can have:
- FK20-2 (Rheinmetall Mk 20 Rh-202 autocannon used in anti-air role; can be static or mounted on Unimog truck; there is also two-barrel variant)
 artikelbild_putlos_1979.jpg
- M167 VADS
VADS - Japanese Air Self-Defence Force (JASDF) | A Military Photo & Video Website
- of course, proper L70 Bofors as used by Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, France, UK and many other countries during the Cold War (this one would probably be the easiest to implement since its similar to the WW2 L60 version we have now)
Вестник ПВО
- ZPU-4 to give some variety to Redfor, once again used all over the world (including potential Vietnam scenarios)

ZPU-4 – Wikipedie

3. Since we don't have a lot Bluefor SAMs, Crotale? We already have HQ-7 which is very similar. In French service, these were used for airfield defense behind the lines, but as we could (potentially) have French airfields, why not? It is also used by the Gulf states (Saudi Arabia, UAE) which makes it relevant for other scenarios as well.
