Kurtz Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 In the past the nose wheel was always at port/starboard before taxi. A little bit of cyclic input corrected this, but Ive noticed now that if i stop forward movement the nose wheel resets to port starboard and blocks forward movement. Has anybody else noticed this?
26-J39 Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 I have always noticed the front wheel wanting to turn left when the aircraft comes to a stop. This I found to be noticeable in both versions.. The difference i found with V1.0.1 is the aircraft seems to develop more ground effect lift, I'm sure the flight dynamics have been changed at least when on tarmac... hence the reason (just my thoughts) why the front wheel is quick to turn due to less friction.
Panzertard Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 It could be just a subtle control input (spikes from you joystick) that causes this - because as soon as you're close to 0 speed and give it a little nudge to the left or right the wheel might turn in that direction. So it really needs a bit of a study to figure out if this is a bug or something that is a result of you own configuration (joystick, inputs etc). The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
bumfire Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 I always find my front wheels to be like this at startup, =
JG14_Smil Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 could be some ort of torque effect as it always turns the same way, regardless of person or controller. I can keep it straight with my pedals while stopping.
nemises Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 is it not spring loaded to return to the left ? I seem to remember somone mentioning its a spring return mechanism...pain in the ass if it is ;)
