I was out in the Mossie today, which I'm hoping one day will get AI Bill, i.e. a navigator.

What struck me was that a script could be a really cool interim solution.

What I was thinking of was a script that would:

  • On a button press, advise the ID number of the next waypoint, it's heading from your aircraft, and estimated time to arrival at the waypoint based on the current ground speed.  To keep it simple, for that to be a message on screen
  • On a button press, to select the next waypoint, no need to display it
  • On a button press, to select the previous waypoint, no need to display it

Whilst it was the Mossie that got me thinking about it, it would also be useful in other multi-player aircraft, e.g. Huey, Hip, Hind.

Apologies, my scripting skills are pants.  Does anyone already have this as a solution or could put it together?

I think @SUNTSAG has something like that in his mossie campaign?
