It´s not a bug, I had the same problem. They have integrated a new setting in the menu.

Look in your settings and tick "Controllerless mode"

Nice! Thanks. Will check it out.

Let me know if the shortcut key doesn’t work after you enable “controllerless mode.”

Thanks, it works now after enabling it. 🙂

Will there be a "Lab Mode" - software profile that extends the field of view - for Super UltraWide, like there is one for the Super Standard? Ultrawide is not scratching my wide FOV itch atm, it feels only slightly wider than any other headset.

Yeah at first I thought they must have sent me a Super standard. Says ultrawide engine in play... Seems barely wider than my OG.

Overall it is a significant upgrade from the OG, but I was really hoping for a lot more FOV. Would like to see if this Lab big FOV option can help any.

And of course in typical Pimax style, I had to put tape on something on day one. (Covering one of the cameras fixes the god awful tracking).

Does anyone else have issues with the lenses steaming up when initially putting on the headset? Its screens warm up after a few minutes and the fan kicks too, so stops being an issue, but the early few minutes I have to take off the headset and wipe the lenses at least a couple of times. I wish we could have a setting/button for an earlier fan start.

Speaking of buttons, I also wish I could map one of the 3(?) buttons on the super as a video passthrough button. I know that there is a keyboard combo that is configurable in PimaxPlay, but it does not work for me when I am in DCS. Again, quite often I only need to glance at the keyboard or behind me, but have to take off the headset and put it on again. This would save many hundred of unnecessary headstrap hinge operations and save Pimax from quite a few related warranty claims 😉

Lenses steaming up...I had this once, but the solution was simple...I just use my overhead ceiling fan to keep me feeling cooled off.

I'd like to hear the passthrough solution cuz for the same reason you cited.

Just double tap the headset and you get passthrough, no buttons needed…

Glad I'm not the only one. For me, it's mostly the left one. I wonder if the issue is in the fans, perhaps they run in silent mode and one of them is too slow or does not turn on? Hypothesizing of course.

I've double tapped all sides of the headset and nothing happened, I assumed the doubletap tickbox in the Play was for the earlier Crystals.

I have my Super since July - maybe it is a setting in PimaxPlay? In one of the Pimax videos I saw, that double tapping switches to passthrough and I tried it with my Super and it worked without a problem...

Not very clear, I just used it to see if any flickering light sources are around which decrease quality of tracking...

BTW, speaking of inside-out-tracking, I've not had any issues.  (fingers crossed since I've not upgraded Pimax Play...yet)

I have a physical, motionless Viper cockpit and three walls surrounding it, with a door on the left.  Tracking is flawless for me, similar to my Reverb G2.

I am sitting on a "monster machine" - 6 DOF, heavy sight blocking due to a big cockpit and everything is moving up to 30 degrees. Despite such circumstances, tracking is working quite well. Sometimes it gets lost and I have to recalibrate, but most of the time it is ok despite a lot of motion...

Yeah, the setting is there , but nothing happens when I doubletap. Which part do you double tap - the faceplate or the side? Neither side works for me, I've tried light taps, harder taps, slower, quicker...

Passthrough does work, but only when I pick up Pimax controllers, go into the menu and select passthrough - way too many steps.

Tapping left side works for me.

You can also activate controllerless mode in menu, hold volume + button on the headset for 2 secs and choose passthrough via on screen menu without the need of controllers
