Cjayster13 Posted September 7 Posted September 7 When opening the speedbrake, the sound is stuttering and glitching. Thanks LastMissionTrack.trk
Raven (Elysian Angel) Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Indeed, I hadn’t flown the F-4 in a few months so I wondered if it was a new addition… But that sound is exactly the same regardless of airspeed, even on the ground 1 Spoiler Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 96GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo DDR5-6000 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 990Pro 4TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero VPC MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with 20cm S-curve extension | VPC CM3 throttle | VPC CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | VPC R1-Falcon pedals with damper | Pro Flight Trainer Puma OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings Win11 Pro 24H2 - VBS/HAGS/Game Mode ON
Zabuzard Posted September 11 Posted September 11 (edited) Hey there. It appears that since some update our (still correct) sound is overlapped with some DCS default speedbrake sound that pops in/out at high frequency. Not sure yet why, but this DCS default noise is the offender, creating the flapping sound. It wasnt there before and now its suddenly there. Probably gotta poke ED about it, cheers. Romo Posted October 2 Posted October 2 My sound is glitching as well in the F4E. It doesn't seem to be related to the speed brake since it starts a soon as I load into the aircraft even with the engine off. I tried reinstalling but didn't make a difference.

That is because you have not received this build of the F-4E yet. It is fixed internally but not available to the public yet 3 hours ago, Romo said: My sound is glitching as well in the F4E. Could you perhaps record it on a quick video or something? Potentially you are doing something wrong or it is correct behavior. Hard to guess based on that. For example, with wind even on a cold aircraft you will hear the engine blades making noise depending on which direction the aircraft is facing. Edited October 2 by Zabuzard 1

Here is a recording and a track file of the sound issue. I just a made a mission with a cold start and nothing else in it. I removed all mods, reinstalled the F4E and repaired DCS. Flew the F4 about a week ago without issue so not sure exactly when it started. Same noises with engine on. Not occurring with any other modules so far. So whatever it is, it must be something "on your end". Im not sure what though. My recommendation would be to do a full repair and kill all mods, but you said you did that already. 1
