Looks like this will be amazing!

Thanks to an RAF mate, years ago I flew the C130J full motion simulator, which is supposed to be so faithful to the real thing that the OCU course was mostly done in the simulator.  As Growling Sidewinder says, take-off is tricky until you get used to it due to the strong yaw forces from the powerful prop torque.  If you have only flown jets in DCS then may not be expecting this.  I flew relatively powerful prop aircraft when I worked as a bush pilot so I was expecting to need a lot of rudder in the C130J, but the amount needed did surprise me.  Growling Sidewinder was also using aileron to help correct, which isn’t ideal, hence dipping a wing on take-off.

I also found my old ATC logbook recently; I logged about 20 hours of flying in C130Ks as a 14 to 16 year old cadet, mostly on the flight deck standing behind the captain’s seat or sitting on the rest bunk at the back.  One trip was a low-level cross country through the mountains of Scotland; we were third in a line-astern formation of 10 Hercs; absolutely unforgettable.  I also remember on one trip being in the freight hold whilst dropping supplies out the back, low-level at RAF Hullavington.  It was those experiences, plus flying in Chipmunks and Kirby Cadet gliders, which got me set on an aviation career.

So for all sorts of reasons this module is a must-have for me!

I hope they work a bit more on the sound package. The audio on the video regarding the external sounds is not accurate and it is not from a C-130

Hear here a flypass by a C-130

You can see what I mean on this video for instance on minute 12:29 where the high pitch sound is more like a King Air where the smaller props turn a higher speeds.

But since this is not yet release and will have some time to polish I hope this is taken care off at some time in the future

Those real life examples are older variants with different propellers. That could easily be the difference so better compare the same variants.

The developers claimed that they had access to real aircraft and the sounds are from the C-130J.

I don't know what to tell you, other than that they are absolutely from a real C-130J... we recorded them over the course of 2 days after getting approval from the USAF.

As others have mentioned, the planes in these videos are C-130H variants, which sound very different. I would also caution against using videos recorded using cellphone microphones as a point of comparison against what the actual airplane sounds like.
