grusche Posted Saturday at 09:59 AM Posted Saturday at 09:59 AM In the training missions, all airspeeds and altitudes are given in knots, miles and feet, which is quite useless in a jet that originally used metric units. I guess changing the voice overs would be quite expensive, but could you please change at least the text to also mention the values in proper units. 4
TheBiggerBass Posted Saturday at 10:37 AM Posted Saturday at 10:37 AM I suggest to get familiar with imperial units as long you are flying. Makes life and documentation use much easier. I am used to metric system too but switch over to imperial units when flying. It does not take long to get used to. I am familiar with imperial units, alright, but it's simply unrealistic to use it for CW WarPac jet. Can somebody check if it works differently when you have DCS russian language set? 1 Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 MiG-29A F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria

This is a russian aircraft, and this variant was always historically used in metric. Only the 29G was in knots, a variant this module specifically isn't. I understand the wish to make the module easier to access by those who are used to western cockpits, and i'm happy imperial units are included, but they should in no way be the default in either the tutorials, as mentioned here, or in the manual, which hasn't been mentioned so far. 4 hours ago, draconus said: Can somebody check if it works differently when you have DCS russian language set? I'm not sure about the tutorials, but I can confirm the russian manual is in metric as opposed to the english manual, which is in imperial units. 1

I made my comment with an ironic side note - difficult to express that in words only.
