F4E Jester UI (Wheel) not showing up

Hi Falong here I have had this certain problem with the Jester Wheel not showing up I've had this problem since I bought the product. I've tried repairing DCS and uninstalling the product and DCS itself toggling the "HB UI override) I am on a pc with no VR, and with 32 gb of ram GTX 4090 and a compatible cpu I have set all my graphics to low. The Jester context action is definetly bound to a and on every device I bind it to it still does not work. This is quite a bad module to be honest had it for a long time(1 month) still cannot work properly. I understand it's hard to make something like this but c'mon really? No image sorry will send track file en request

Seriously! You've had it for a month, and you ask for help now, when it's working for everyone else? I don't intend to be harsh, because I truly deeply know how frustrating it is when something doesn't work. But calling it a bad module when it's obviously a problem in your end, that's just bad style. Apologies!

Post screenshots of your bindings and your F-4E Special settings. Ie. LWin+LShft+S, (not with your phone), and your DCS.log. DCS\logs under Saved Games.

Also. NEVER re-install. A full repair is much quicker, and does the same thing. It will not touch Saved Games though. So any problems/corruptions that are there will not be repaired. A quick test is just to rename the DCS folder under your saved games, after a repair, and you have a plain vanilla installation.

You could actually try to rename it now, in case you have any conflicting mods.

Thanks mate, I known I was harsh and it was just stupid and all do to my pure lazyness that I didn't do anything for such a long period of time, and yes I'll send you a screenshot but currently I am at work (night shift sucks) so you may have to wait a day, I apologize for the inconvenience. You said you bound Jester Context Action to A? That wouldn't be the right bind for bringing up the menu.
The menu one is called, I believe, Jester Ui Action, not Context Action.

It would also be interesting to know if other HB UIs work. Press M to bring up the ingame Manual. Or click on the right canopy spot to bring up the Grease Pencil menu. Or RCTRL+V for the virtual browser or RCTRL+L for Jester Console. Do these work?

If those work then it must likely be an issue with your Jester binds. If they do not work, its likely an issue with your graphics settings.

Either case, share some screenshots of the corresponding stuff and we can probably get you back on track within a few minutes :)

Yes it is definitely bound to Jester Ui Action(Short,Long), and regarding the screenshots I can't right now (I'm on my commute).  

P.S no other UI show up except for the manual but in a very small form like about the size of the engine master switches.

Ah, I assume you are a VR users? Then you are probably just running into the usual UI issue that some users have because of a DCS bug. Good news is that there is a fix for it 🙂

1. Go to your VR settings in DCS
2. Check "Use DCS System Resolution"
3. Select "Both Eyes"
4. Go to your Graphics settings in DCS
5. Select a resolution of 1920x1080 (or higher)
6. Restart DCS (mandatory)

Should work now 🙂

No I am not a vr user I am on flatscreen and yes I have already done this no affect at all

My theory is that one of my many mods are interfering.

Are you using a multimonitor setup or sth like HELIOS? What resolution did you set in ur DCS settings? Maybe something very big so it works for multi-monitor?

In that case you would need to fiddle with the Special Settings of the F4 HB UI.

Screenshots will definitely help once you can share them :)

Almost home thanks for taking the time to respond Zabuzard but no I am using a ancient acer monitor but runs at 1080p

Odd. Yeah, probably try without mods then. They have caused severe issues in the past for no apparent reason.

A screenshot of your "tiny ingame manual" and your settings page (graphics and f4 special options) would help :)

Okay when I arrive I'll do all that, also do I have to change the of my saved games folder? Also thanks I known you have a lot of messages to tend to, and if the F4E is as good as it's customer service it will be amazing:)

Ya so all you gotta do is to change the saved games folder name to something else it works now!!!!! Thanks for all your  help everyone

That's excellent! Sometimes corruption happens in the settings.
If you want your keybinds back, you can just copy over the input folder.
