Msiipola Posted Sunday at 10:19 AM Posted Sunday at 10:19 AM I have installed latest version of DCS on new PC with win11, and a get about 10 fps when starting. On my old win10 PC a get 60-70 fps with same aircraft and settings. Spec: Enhetsnamn Stationär_win11 Processor AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 8-Core Processor (4.70 GHz) Installerat RAM-minne 32,0 GB (31,2 GB is available) Enhets-ID 9E11CF81-A807-4B96-9E30-DE78E8D43BEC Produkt-ID 00326-10000-00000-AA991 Systemtyp 64-bitars operativsystem, x64-baserad processor Penna och pekskärm Penn- eller tryckinmatning är inte tillgängligt för den här bildskärmen The 3DMark shows 6900 performance. On my old PC same test shows about 1600. The cpu usage is <10% and memory usages abt 65%, when DCS is executing. I have started DCS in both multi threaded and none threaded mode, no difference. What to do?
Czar Posted Sunday at 10:38 AM Posted Sunday at 10:38 AM What is the storage type DCS is on? HDD, SSD? Set your pagefile to 30gb+ through windows on a fast drive (SSD). Undo any overclock made. What's the GPU usage like? If it is out of VRAM performance takes a nosedive. (DCS is heavy on the assets side). Share with us your GPU model. Problem might lie there. 10fps is not normal unless is a heavy bottleneck somewhere like VRAM or Storage, with the later making stutter seems like low fps. Check your mouse polling rate. Use the mouse of your old PC on the new one to see if it resolves. If it does, is the high polling rate issue that DCS doesn't like. (reported on the forums).
addman Posted Sunday at 11:26 AM Posted Sunday at 11:26 AM (edited) What is your graphics card and how much VRAM does it have? Nothing hits harder on FPS than lack of VRAM imo. It also depends on the module of course, the MiG-29 for example uses A LOT of VRAM even when you have medium resolution cockpit activated. Edited Sunday at 11:29 AM by addman
Msiipola Posted yesterday at 11:22 AM Author Posted yesterday at 11:22 AM "What's the GPU usage like?" I looks like the GPU 0 (AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT) is not used (0%), but instead some type of software (AMD Radeon Grahics) GPU 1 (96%). So the problem is, how to utilize GPU 0? eon(TM) Graphics.

Onboard graphics card on the motherboard? If yes, disable it in the BIOS and be sure to plug the monitor cable in the correct port (that of the RX 9070 XT) Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Msiipola Posted yesterday at 03:22 PM Author Posted yesterday at 03:22 PM My fault! Changed a bios setting, and now the correct GPU is used, and I get FPS=140! I was misled, because the 3DMark test was good, and I thought the correct GPU was used. Still little confused why the graphic test result was so good. Maybe the test override the GPU setting in BIOS? When I retested with 3DMark, I get same test result as before?! Thanks all for your suggestions and answers.
