Lixma 06 Posted Sunday at 08:22 PM Posted Sunday at 08:22 PM In the video I'm holding constant back pressure on the stick - the movement you see is not mine. I haven't touched any AP/Damper settings, so why is the plane doing this?

AeriaGloria Posted Sunday at 10:56 PM Posted Sunday at 10:56 PM The AOA limiter well move the stabilizer 2 or 15 degrees down depending on speed. When you are more then 2 degrees below limit the AOA limiter will shut off. Lixma 06 Posted yesterday at 08:10 AM Author Posted yesterday at 08:10 AM Thanks. Thinking about it some more the 'bucking' is more to do with my joystick not being physically connected with the virtual aircraft. I guess FFB sticks might circumvent this; assuming they were powerful enough.

I had to make a different profile especially for MiG-29 as this behaviour would rip the stick out of my hands: it is that violent. So I see the exact same thing you do (as per your video above) even though my physical stick and the virtual stick are indeed connected. I had always heard the real MiG-29 has very strong stick forces so it's not a surprise that my Rhino needed some toning down, or the overheat-protection would turn on even while doing simple free flights and landing practice 1 Spoiler Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 96GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo DDR5-6000 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 990Pro 4TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero VPC MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with Z-extension | VPC CM3 throttle | VPC CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | VPC R1-Falcon pedals with damper | Pro Flight Trainer Puma OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings Win11 Pro 24H2 - VBS/HAGS/Game Mode ON

It was only when I looked down yesterday and saw what the stick was doing that I realised there was another ingredient. Edited 23 hours ago by Lixma 06
Raven (Elysian Angel) Posted yesterday at 11:03 AM Posted yesterday at 11:03 AM It’s also why a FF and FC level modelling of the very same aircraft can still feel very different even though they both use PFM: the impact of FF system modelling is not to be underestimated 1 Spoiler Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 96GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo DDR5-6000 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 990Pro 4TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero VPC MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with Z-extension | VPC CM3 throttle | VPC CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | VPC R1-Falcon pedals with damper | Pro Flight Trainer Puma OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings Win11 Pro 24H2 - VBS/HAGS/Game Mode ON

Or is that animation of a stick is of importance?
vctpil Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) This is the "pitch kicker" designed to prevent inadvertent stall when the aircraft exceed the pitch rate or the AOA. Found in the flight manual, section AOA limiter.
