swartbyron Posted yesterday at 10:08 AM Posted yesterday at 10:08 AM (edited) I was wondering if there were any procedures for using the NAV lights for start-up, taxi, and in flight? I realize this will differ between operators, so I was thinking along the lines of how they were intended to be used, so how the Russian's/Soviet's/WP would use them. Flash on the ground and steady in flight, for example? The same for the landing light? Would this be turned on for approach during the day like western aircraft do? Кош Posted yesterday at 12:09 PM Posted yesterday at 12:09 PM (edited) Varies widely by years and regions. Some places practiced different light flashes before engine start for example. As for landing lights it's common to use them 24\7 on takeoff and landing. Edited yesterday at 12:09 PM by Кош 1 ППС АВТ 100 60 36 Ф < | > ! Ironhand Posted yesterday at 12:49 PM Posted yesterday at 12:49 PM FWIW, the Su-27 manual mentions, when doing circuits, turning them on as you cross the outer marker. 1 YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCU1...CR6IZ7crfdZxDg _____ Win 11 Pro x64, Asrock Z790 Steel Legend MoBo, Intel i7-13700K, MSI RKT 4070 Super 12GB, Corsair Dominator DDR5 RAM 32GB.
