Balance here is adherence by all modules to the same standards and common sense. You shouldn't give a very "realistic" radar to one aircraft and imagined and gamey capable to other. In DCS they should be both as realistic as possible, or neither. This is the balance I'm talking about. I don't believe that Hornet's radar is way way worse than F-16's, JF-17's, Mig-29's(!) and all others.

He's asking for equality of simulation, not balance in the sense of nerfing modula A because B is too weak.

Not for the very newest but there are posted burnthrough ranges for many modern radars and jammers. Nothing should be “balanced for PvP” this isn’t war thunder. I think all full fidelity planes and radars/missiles should be made as accurately as possible with the data available because that’s what DCS’ full fidelity is about.

Either way, the point is moot, I don’t think it’s sensible to derail the thread with conjecture unless we have valuable data to provide.

The exact parameters sure but I'd argue different levels of depth for the theoretical won't be pure fiction. Can google/bot search for a theoretical formula
