New visor effect with no NVG/JHMCS bug

Hi,

with the new visor you can see a bit of the helmet on your upper peripheral sight (nice feature) when you have JHMCS installed.

But when you have a clean helmet (no JHMCS/NVGs) you can still see parts of the visor in the upper part of your sight as you would see if the JHMCS are installed. If you have NVGs equiped this effect disappears (as it should).

Note: Playing in VR

This is correct-as-is based on the type of helmet used, and if you switch to external view with the visor in the UP-position you can clearly see that.
I for one am happy we have a working visor in the normal helmet too, for those of us who like our '80s/'90s scenarios 🙂

But when the visor is down you shouldnt look this way or (screenshot in vr looks a bit weird and you can't see that much of the visor in game as it is in the picture) :

Oh, which headset do you use? You seem to have a much higher vertical FoV than I do, as I don't see that at all:

Ive asked the team about this, I see the same with a pimax crystal with no HMCS or NVG.

I will wait for them to get back to me, but if I do report it is going to be a very low priority issue.

thank you

Yes, I imagine not very many people will use the older helmet…

I'm using a Pico 4 Ultra with VD.

And the FOV of the screenshot is somehow different to what I actually see ingame in VR. Ingame its less zoomed out and I see just the edge of the helmet in the upper FOV.

Do you still need the track file? If yes, do you need specific settings or something? Do I just have to look around a bit?

The Caucasus ramp start IA mission should do nicely (open it in the ME first and give yourself the classic helmet), as you’re already having all systems running with the visor down. Flip it up and down a few times, look around a bit, then exit and save a track.

It will be nice and short, so easy for ED.

Thanks for the reply.

Couldn't find the IA mission via the editor so I just placed a hornet on Batumi with no JHMCS/NVGs. Flipped the visor up and down a few times and switched from clean helmet to NVGS and then to JHMCS.

No need for track I have reproduced and reported but thank you
