brake chute can be deployed before touch

So, I wounder why in game Fulcrum can not do this, because real one can use brake chute before touchdown. I not report it as a but, because idk was it real feature or not. But seems like a lot of russian aircrafts can use brake chute before they touch RW. Thank you.

In real life you can deploy chute in air. I will check if it works in DCS, if not, it's a bug.

You can deploy it - but it'll get ripped away immediately.

This is at 290kp/h

According to flight manual, the maximum permissible speed of releasing the chute is 310 kmh, so this may be a bug

Seems around 270kp/h is the disconnection threshold (and god bless the RD-33)

But automatic parachute drop speed is 345 km/h.
