F1Rocket666 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Hi everyone! I have Thrustmaster’s Dual Throttle, F/A-18 stick, and TRP Pedals. Everything works perfectly on my old computer. But on my new computer, the pedals have gone completely crazy. When I press the left pedal, it triggers Throttle Forward. The right pedal controls Throttle Backwards. Left pedal brake moves the Yoke forward/backward. Right pedal brake moves the Yoke left/right. That makes it really hard to fly... I can’t find any strange bindings in the control settings. I’ve also tried resetting my bindings, reinstalling drivers, and recalibrating everything. I have no idea what to do. Help! /Mats
SharpeXB Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago (edited) On your new computer you will need to update the hardware ID settings in the joystick .lua files. Have you done that? Redoing your control mapping is easy. Your old assignments are saved here: C:\Users\Name\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\Aircraft\joystick Make sure you save a copy of your Saved Games DCS folder when you upgrade. Go into any aircraft in your new install and assign a button for a controller, it will create a file like this: CH FIGHTERSTICK USB {8D539500-AD1C-11f0-8001-444553540000}.diff The bolded text is your new hardware ID, using Explorer simply paste this onto your old files when you copy them over. Modifiers are stored here: C:\Users\Name\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\Aircraft\modifiers.lua Replace this ID local modifiers = { ["JOY_BTN16"] = { ["device"] = "CH PRO THROTTLE USB {2796EE60-F354-11ef-8001-444553540000}", ["key"] = "JOY_BTN16", ["switch"] = false, That's all! Raven (Elysian Angel) Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Yes this is due to ED's annoying habit of automatically mapping your controls without asking for your opinion/consent first. It is a great feature for new players, as it helps with onboarding, but it is seriously annoying for the more experienced virtual pilots who have a lot more controls than simply stick and throttle. SharpeXB's post above mine is what will fix this issue!
