Ali Fish Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 (edited) Having contributed to various discussion about the bug that inhibits succesfull public hosting of black shark (Port randomisation bug) and whilst being told my router is the problem, pfff , <rises above it> i would like to ask the following question. "If You can Host a public online match! Please tell me your router type". I'd be greatfull to have a list of known routers that can succesfully host a game of black shark. Thanks in advance ! i ask this so i can choose a new router which allows hosting of this sim. i Presently have this "thing" called a BTHOMEHUB..... it is not capable of hosting blackshark apparently untill black shark recieves another patch.. AFTERTHOUGHT EDIT ! even if you router doesnt host black shark, please list it. thanks.. ill compile the list once it is semi complete. Edited August 27, 2009 by Ali Fish [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Ramstein Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 (edited) DI-624 Rev C. I can host but.. some people can stay connected, others cannot Mine sometimes shows the wrong port (instead of 1030). I get too many time outs in Black Shark (in IL-2 I get very few timeouts..). I use both my regular computer to host, which is wired straight to my router. I also host using Servman on my other computer which has a wireless connection to my router. maybe I misread the question "If You can Host a public online match!" what do you mean 'match' ? nemises Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 netgear DG834 seems fine... I've not really left it to see if it shows up on the master server list, but people have had no issue connecting to IP and port 10308
