How do I fix liveries not working after some updates? After some of the last several updates, a lot of my liveries have stopped working on ground and air objects, even when the model hasn't been changed. Was wondering what needs changed and in which lua file, to get my liveries working again? 90% of my CH-47F liveries won't  work since a couple updates ago. And, my ground assets like the M978 HEMTT, etc. I tried to find a post to learn how to fix the issue, but didn't find anything.

hello.

i am betting that you have the liveries in the install folder. if so DCS may decide these files are non-standard and move them to a backup folder. the best place for liveries are in the Saved Games folder.

example

\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\CH-47F\Royal Moroccan Air Force

so take a look in your install folder for folders called backup. then take those files and put them in Saved Games like above. make sure names of folders are correct.

Thanks for the reply. But, I actually drop all of my downloaded liveries into my "saved games" directory. It's like something got changed with the "description.lua" files. And they're not pointing to the livery files to the right directory in my DCS install drive anymore.

For instance, the "Refueler M978 HEMTT". I have some skins I downloaded for it from the community downloads page. They worked fine forever, then after around 3 patches ago, they just stopped working. The soldiers in the cab are affected by the liveries, it changes their uniforms. But, the truck skin itself isn't affected, it just stays default. This is just one of the handful of vehicles this is happening too. I'll just zip up the primary livery folder for this one, with all of the skins in it. In case you want to compare the .lua description files in them. And thanks for trying to help me out.

i am looking at the zip you provided. i also downloaded the original skin from user files to compare. i have combined arms so i will see what results i get. as far as i can tell, you are doing the correct process.
