johnhermes Posted November 20 Posted November 20 Question about using Bullseye in the F-4E. For example, a Bullseye target is specified in the second mission. Where can I get the navigation data? Do I need to integrate Jester for this, and if so, how? I know that the Bullseye in this case is “Cedar Pk.”, but Cedar Pk is not a waypoint in the flight plan. Unfortunately, I can't find any information on this. I would therefore appreciate some help.
Reflected Posted November 20 Posted November 20 Cedar pk is easy to see and identify visually when you're over the range, so roughly you'll know where to look. Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
johnhermes Posted November 20 Author Posted November 20 Okay, so exclusively visually without instruments and support from Jester. Good to know. Thanks for the quick reply. Btw — great campaign! I love it.
Reflected Posted November 20 Posted November 20 Thanks! Normally you could assign it to a WP and switch to it for an alpha check, but the Phantom only had 2 WPs available, so one was active while the next was entered, then the WSO would switch upon reaching it, then overwrite the first with the upcoming one. Zone5 Posted November 20 Posted November 20 Another trick is to look at the map before the flight, and find the bearing and distance from Bullseye to each of the way points and note them down, so If waypoint 4 is at Bulls 120 for 30 and waypoint 3 is at 180 for 16 and you're about halfway between them, you know you are somewhere around 150 for 23 (these numbers are completely made up and are just intended as an example..). Does require some mental math and keeping SA as to where you are, but then that's sort of the whole point...
