Ernohauki Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Hi everyone. I have owned the sim for sometime now but i didn't try any missions until now cause i first wanted to learn and fly the copter properly. Now i decided to try a single mission to see how it goes and i chose the battle mission thinking that atleast there's enough things to shoot at in that mission. When i started the mission my FPS was sooo low that it was unplayable. I think i was getting 5FPS or something close to that. And no matter what i did to change graphic settings didn't help. I know my computer is old but it should not be that bad. Do you guys have any FPS problems with that mission? Tell me about the campaign. Is there any missions like the battle? Cause if there is there's no use for me to even try and play it cause i will not be able to pass that mission anyway. And my computer specs are: E8400 3Ghz, Ati radeon HD4870, 4gigs or ram and 64bit vista. Thanks!
Panzertard Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Which battlemission? There's quite a few mission named "battle-nnnnn" around here :) The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
ZaltysZ Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I think he speaks about default game mission, that one with huge battle :) I don't remember its name in English version, but probably something like "Battle" (at least semantically) :) FPS are low in it, because of huge amount of units. Yeah i am speaking about the default mission called battle. So it's specially huge and laggy and i should not have problems like that in normal game? :P
Panzertard Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 This tip: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=743153&postcount=23 Aditional hint for FPS improvment ... it will improve your FPS because water is drawn underneath all the landmass and in the distance. Change your water settings in (use NOTEPAD++, do not use windows notepad) \Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\BlackShark\data\scripts\options.lua Set water to 1: ["water"] = 1, The mind is like a parachute. 159th_Viper Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Aye - Similar specs to your Rig, except Win7 with an E8600 @ 3.8 and I average about 40FPS with that mission. 5FPS does seem extraordinary Low. Mildly overclocking your processor may help, it helped me. The biggest tip that helped me with my FPS issues was the water and shadows tip. HUGE difference, like 3-4 times better FPS than before. arrogant, realism-obsessed Falcon 4 junkie
