I wanted to see how the Ray Tracing feature works so I took screenshots with it off and on high. However the only difference I was able to notice was the color of the window borders. Anyone know what the status of the Ray Tracing feature is or what's going on with it?

did someone tested it with VR? Cant manage to use this RTX function in VR, disabled HDR before starting DCS did not help. Its all very very oversaturated and most of the textures inside the cockpit are missing or defect.

I can see tons of reflections in your screenshot. In this particular lighting condition, there arent as many as there are in other situations, but look where i have circled.

nullAnyway, just turn it on, and fly around. Its very very noticable.

What do you mean by "missing or defect" and "very very oversaturated?  What headset are you using? Does the feature work in 2d?

It absolutely works in VR. The only issue is with folks running quad views.

do you see how it changed all of the dark window border tints to bright yellow? Is this the correct color? Or is the dark one the correct color?

Yes. I do see how they the window sealant became more accurate and immersive. I am, after all, the person who wrote the million odd lines of code that make up the module.

Just to mention it, foveated rendering will get more and more crucial for PCVR soon. It would be wise to find a way to solve these issues.

no need for the sass, my guy 😉. things can behave differently on different computers, so even if your code works great for you, it could behave differently on a different setup and you wouldn't know until people said something.

so i can assume from your 'answer' that the yellow window border is more accurate than the dark one? whichever one is more accurate to the real plane is the setting I'll leave it on.

Hi, it works perfectly for me with the Crystal light and a 4090.

Having Ray Tracing enabled utterly trashes the image in my Pimax Super Ultrawide

Kit: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR X870E HERO, ASUS 5090 ROG ASTRAL, 64 GB, Pimax Crystal Super Ultrawide,

Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas, Moza AB9 FFB, Moza AY210 FFB yoke, Thrustmaster Pendular rudder peddles

MODS: Pretty much all of them

It is not working correctly with pimax, doubly so when quadviews is enabled. I have ordered a crystal super, and will investigate when it arrives.
