dresoccer4 Posted Friday at 10:41 PM Posted Friday at 10:41 PM (edited) I wanted to see how the Ray Tracing feature works so I took screenshots with it off and on high. However the only difference I was able to notice was the color of the window borders. Anyone know what the status of the Ray Tracing feature is or what's going on with it? razo+r Posted Friday at 11:02 PM Posted Friday at 11:02 PM Check the reflections in the windows. Skip to 23:50 (and ignore anything before) but you can see some of it here:
Melv428 Posted Saturday at 12:01 AM Posted Saturday at 12:01 AM did someone tested it with VR? Cant manage to use this RTX function in VR, disabled HDR before starting DCS did not help. Its all very very oversaturated and most of the textures inside the cockpit are missing or defect.

Ray Tracing: high Ray Tracing: off I can see tons of reflections in your screenshot. In this particular lighting condition, there arent as many as there are in other situations, but look where i have circled. nullAnyway, just turn it on, and fly around. Its very very noticable. 1 hour ago, Melv428 said: did someone tested it with VR? Cant manage to use this RTX function in VR, disabled HDR before starting DCS did not help. Does the feature work in 2d? It absolutely works in VR. The only issue is with folks running quad views. 1

Or is the dark one the correct color? 1 Acer Predator Triton 700 || i7-7700HQ || 512GB SSD || 32GB RAM || GTX1080 Max-Q || FFB II and Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle || All DCS Modules

I am, after all, the person who wrote the million odd lines of code that make up the module.
Jidai Posted Saturday at 07:20 AM Posted Saturday at 07:20 AM It can be pretty strong pending the light angle. Vedddddddddy nice 1 1

Just to mention it, foveated rendering will get more and more crucial for PCVR soon. It would be wise to find a way to solve these issues. 4 i9 13900K @5.5GHz, Z790 Gigabyte Aorus Master, RTX4090 Waterforce, 64 GB DDR5 @5600, PSVR2, Pico 4 Ultra, HOTAS & Rudder: all Virpil with Rhino FFB base made by VPforce, DCS: all modules

Hi, it works perfectly for me with the Crystal light and a 4090.

I have ordered a crystal super, and will investigate when it arrives.
