Max47 Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 There are a few things that have changed since the last time I played the game with this working.. one I went from Vista x64 to Win7 x64 and secondly I have installed the new patch with the fix. I am familiar with editing the .lua files and should have them set correctly.. Even before I had setup dual monitors without "ghosting" a screen on the left. Now I cannot get ANYTHING to display on my secondary monitor, from blackshark that is.. My desktop picture remains and I can move the mouse over from the game to the secondary display. I am not sure what to do here, its like blackshark just wont use the monitor.. The pictures are there just not being displayed, as I have adjusted the resolution and it displayed my shkval on my primary.
Max47 Posted September 11, 2009 Author Posted September 11, 2009 Also sorry if this has already been brought up, I have been searching these forums and all over the web for hours with no results to anyone having this same issue.
dburne Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 I will certainly follow this thread with interest. I run a two monitor setup, and really like it - for instance in FSX it is very easy to drag things over to the secondary monitor, like atc window, gps, radio stack. When I received Black Shark I was very excited to read it supported multiple monitors , I thought this will be great. So I go in and select camera plus shkval I think it is, thinking the shkval would be displayed on my secondary monitor. Nope, all I got was a split screen on my main monitor, that made no sense at all. Half looked like a splash screen, the other half maybe half my cockpit. So I searched the forums and did see a thread somewhere, but man it sounded so complex to go in and edit some config type files to try and get it to work properly. I quickly gave up any hope of being able to use a secondary monitor with Black Shark. goon3r Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 I had an issue like this and it was caused by installing black shark with UAC enabled in Vista 64. The normal location of the file is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\BlackShark\data\scripts However, If you installed with UAC enabled then you will need to edit the file @ C:\Users\{USER}\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\BlackShark\data\scripts I'm not sure if this will help you at all but I thought I'd share since it tormented me for a few hours.
