104th_Crunch Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 (edited) Mastiff, LO came out in 2003. It would be like asking a deveoper that came out with a game during the Win95 time period to be responsible for updating their game to Win7. Also, I don't think your problem is Vista. Lots of people use Vista and LO. I think it is the fact that you are using 64-bit. What advantage are you getting from running a 64 bit operating system anyway? Of course I could be wrong and maybe your problem is not Vista 64 related. Edited September 15, 2009 by Crunch
PoleCat Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 (edited) Lockon FC is working almost perfectly for me under Win 7 Ultimate x64. Just a couple of small issues with skins (Modded). Other wise not half bad and more stable than under XP for me as well. Also fully agree with the Crunchster on his comment. Keep trying Mastiff, I don't think it is the OS that is the problem. Lockon gets along with XP, Vista, and Win7 32 x86 and x64 with as I said just a few small issues. I am referring to Flaming Cliuffs and not the vanilla Lock On Out Edited September 15, 2009 by PoleCat http://www.104thphoenix.com/
Pyroflash Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I use Vista 64 bit, and have no problems. One problem you might be having is your antivirus. I know its not related at all, but uninstalling Norton fixed a lot of graphics issues. if you don't use Norton, the I don't know. If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.
71st_Mastiff Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 (edited) I noticed yesterday I was playing on boberro's served machine and his ping was 289 to me, I had not one issue in all the respawns and flight Crash's. So I'm now suspicious of the servers running mods like LRM. Im running the Lock On Gold version by the way so would that have issues with other servers running just FC added to it? If you read the errors in the error ini it states the issues with the game running Trck ir missing code.. or reading the code.It also states to many open files? what the heck does that mean? @ Crunch-->The advantage to running 64 bit is all the ram I can add, LOL. A lot of games run way smoother too. Edited September 16, 2009 by Mastiff "any failure you meet, is never a defeat; merely a set up for a greater come back", W Forbes. 104th_Crunch Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Your problem is not LRM related that is for sure. No one as reported any graphical errors with LRM as of yet. How big was the mission that Bob was running? The missions that run on HL servers, especially the main 169th mission, have many objects.
