Hi folks,

Wondering if my experience with the trimmer using the Cyborg Evo is normal. When I press the trim, the stick makes an attempt at locking but kinda slides back to center still. I thought it was supposed to hold fast? Think I've got a setting wrong or is my stick dodgy?

It's because it's not functioning right in DCS, the forcefeedback is too weak, not because of the Saitek Evo but because of some kind of bug, I don't know.

The developers didn't take a statement about this issue as far as I know.

Really!!?? I know its got enough power, because in the demo, if you don't hold on the stick will throw itself from my desk! Is there no way to make it work I just bought it!!??

Like I said...

Nobody knows how you can fix it, the developers of Black Shark have to patch it or something like that.

Just deactivate the Force Feedback in the producer.cfg file or buy another Stick like Microsoft Sidewinder Forcefeedback 2.

I can almost get the stick to function correctly if I disable the spring and adjust the forcefeed back settings in the saitek control panel.

It still has a tiny bit of unrequested movement at the extremities, but otherwise it trims correctly =)

Wow, what a bummer. I haven't had much luck with the trimmer and I was hoping this would get me back into the game. I guess I'm not really interested in dissembling the stick. I wonder if it will work well with Falcon AF? Here's to waiting for A-10!!!!!!!!

If you need to disassemble the stick, you're doing it wrong.

Just find a piece of string or two cables ties and compress the spring.

Ayup... garbage bag twist ties also work well as a temporary test method. In fact, so far I have just left mine that way. If you haven't tried it yet, try:

- Default spring = 0%

- Spring gain = 38%

- Other options at 100%

with the spring manually disabled

Just use the twist ties / cable ties / whatever to compress the spring (still on the shaft) so that the compressed spring flops around without exerting any centering force.

There's no place like 127.0.0.1

SUCCESS!! I used zip ties to hold down the spring and configured the software as recommended. The trimmer works as advertised.

I'd like to also add what a pleasure it is to fly with a proper stick. I went from -- Ready to shelf the game, to back into training all because of the stick. I recommend an FF stick for everyone flying Black Shark.
