DaveRindner Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 One of the training subject in real world turbine helicopter syllabuses, is preventing hot starts. That is monitoring the exaust gas temperature during turbine start up to prevent over-temp condition, that results in hot start. Hot starts generally require engine teardown and rebuild. I have not yet experienced a hot start in KA50. Either starting up manually or using start-up cheat. Are hot starts modeled in BlackShark. If so , how is it induced?
sobek Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Are hot starts modeled in BlackShark. If so , how is it induced? Random failures have to be included by the mission builder. I do not know however, if including a hot start is possible. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
AlphaOneSix Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 I don't think that hot starts are modelled.
Debio Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 if there is no hot start failure option in the mission editor, then hot starts are not modelled. i have phutzed the start process every way possible, and have only had a failure to start - no meltdowns...
