StrongHarm Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Same bird from different angles.. for both categories. It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm
L4key Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Lovely looking if you ask me! Noticed it was getting a beating on the other thread. Looks like a sparrow's beak at the front.
Lucas_From_Hell Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Same awful nose the F-22 has. Crap, the YF-22 and F-35 prototype looked so nice, why did you screw them up with this nose?!
topol-m Posted February 3, 2010 Author Posted February 3, 2010 Some say it`s ugly, others say it`s beautiful... Me? I love it: Su-34 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
zakobi Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Some say it`s ugly, others say it`s beautiful... Me? I love it: Su-34 That's the flat-nose one, right? the round nose is IMO ugly.

topol-m Posted February 9, 2010 Author Posted February 9, 2010 Guys, in order not to repeat the same aircraft over and over again, post them with their names, so that it is possible to see if a given plane has been mentioned in the thread. Also if you post pictures of an aircraft that`s already in this thread, please at least post pictures of it from a different aspect. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

StrongHarm Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 U-2 The U2 is truly an amazing bird! I saw one in the early 90s. The pilot was in a space suite carrying a black box venting liquid nitrogen steam. I was able to study the systems a bit while it was in theater. It was the first time I saw a working OBOGS (on board oxygen generating system). I wish other birds used that system, liquid oxygen almost killed me more than once. This is a bird that began production not a decade after ww2, has a range of over 6000 miles and a ceiling of 70,000+ feet! It took legible pictures of newspapers at the Kremlin. Russia very quickly figured out how to shoot it down though.. so I guess we could only use it over our less sophisticated brown friends' countries. Take the time to read the above link, and others. This is a bird that has such a huge wingspan that it required falloff training wheels on the wingtips so they wouldn't hit the ground on takeoff! ... OOOOOooo.. DCS: Dragonlady... where's that post!?! :pilotfly: It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm
