Vekkinho Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Hi all, Is anyone using any of these: Pro Flight Switch panel: http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/pfpanel.htm Pro Flight Radio panel: http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/pfradio.htm Pro Flight Multi Panel: http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/pfmulti.htm Pro Flight Instrument panel: http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/fip.htm#../images/Product/flight_fip_turnjpg.jpg I'm asking 'cause I though of getting some of it for my LOFC/DCS sessions but I'm not sure these can be used with FC and Ka-50. I tried reading more 'bout these products but details I look for are not available so I couldn't find any! I also think of joining Saitek forums just to find this out but before I do I'll ask the same here. Now, it's clear that these products work with FS-X but do they work with FC/Ka-50 too? Any programming sofware like SST to map DX functions to buttons and levers of these panels? Is it worth for playing a LOFC? Thanks all! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Airway Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 The Pro Flight series is optimized for FSX. I don't know if it is possible to make it run with LOFC or anything else via the SDK.
Yskonyn Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Still, the new X65F HOTAS has been advertised with one of the selling points that it supports the Pro Panels. I can hardly believe this combat stick is aimed specifically at FSX. Meaning it would be a fair bet to say they will be supported by future DCS modules perhaps if they don't work right now. rapid Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Hi, the Pro Flight Instrument panel ships with an SDK but no one to date has written anything for DCS:BS. I have also heard that the display lags behind with the information on screen. Vekkinho Posted November 22, 2009 Author Posted November 22, 2009 Most of the item descriptions say "Upgrade your flight simulation experience for Microsoft Flight Simulator X" Yes that's why it seems it would be a waste of money to use with LOFC and DCS. I'm most interested in Switch panel, I thought of programming switches in Game setup/options/input but if it ain't a DX device it wouldn't be recognized by game and listed in a list of available devices. SUBS17 Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 I wonder if its possible to get that stuff to work with DCS? Has anyone tried it would be awesome if it could some how work with DCS. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
Yskonyn Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Well with the SDK devs SHOULD be able to add support for them to their games, or maybe clever 3rd parties could make mods. No joy for DCS so far, though. Boulund Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 But as usual they wouldn't work in online play where the server has lua-export disabled?
