HungaroJET Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 If i make changes on these nozzle coefficient values and i am increasing(?) the exhaust rate, then will it changing the behavior of IR SAMs on helicopters (will it simulating increased heat signature of choppers and will leading easier lock on) or not ? If yes: Is it same in SP and in MP modes ? Or is it changing/increasing the heat blur VISUAL effect ONLY ? llama Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 When I was in the Army I was a stinger missile gunner http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIM-92_Stinger and we were always told that a helo was more difficult to obtain lock due to heat dissipation from the rotor wash. Not sure if that helps or if it is modelled in game but that is the real life info about IR lock on helos. At least for the stinger missile anyway :) 1 Asrock z68 Extreme4Gen3 Intel i5-2500K 8GB ram EVGA GTX 770 4GB Creative Recon3d Fatality Champion HDD's 320 GB Maxtor 7200RPM (OS and misc system files) 1 TB Hitachi 7200 RPM (games and music, storage) 64 GB Sandisk u100 SSD (Star Wars and DCS world 1.2.7) Trackir 4 Saitek X65F:joystick: Saitek X52 (Use flightstick for helo and WWII Sims, but X65 throttle) CH Pro pedals Thrustmaster MFD's Logitech X5500 Speakers Sennheiser PC360 Headphones Win 7 Home Premium (64 Bit)

RGR, TY ...and R there any way to adding some heat blur for the present A-10 and Su-25 engines in DCS ? Possibilities ? Atop the midnight tarmac, a metal beast awaits.
