Hey guys,

I've been watching the producers notes vids and have come to wonder how the producer tumbles his view around in the cockpit. So far, I've been using the mouse to move the view (but it can then be hard to press certain switches/buttons) or the little hat thingy on my joysticks also does the trick.

However, in the videos, the producer seems to tumble his view in a very natural motion.

Is there some kind of trick to this?

Is he using those led hat thingies i've seen around? (either way, what are they called?)

And lastly, what do you guys do for looking around in the cockpit?

Cheers!

It was the best part of simulation-related equipment I ever got and couldn't play games without it anymore. I'd rather be without joystick.

Core i5-760 @ 3.6Ghz, 4GB DDR3, Geforce GTX470, Samsung SATA HDD, Dell UH2311H 1920x1080, Saitek X52 Pro., FreeTrack homemade cap w/ LifeCam VX-1000, Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1.

When I look around the cockpit, it is just to make sure I have not forgotten to turn anything on, which I usually do heh. Then glancing at the gauges is a good habit to get into once you know what each one does. Sucks trying to remember a gauge location or another button and your concentrating trying to find it and dont see that mountain coming up hehe.

Yeah thanks guys, I'll have to look into getting one of these. I was saving for a HOTAS as I only have a simple 3axis joystick, but now I do beleive I can survive with it for awhile longer :D

indeed. It frees up that HAT for something more inportant...

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
