StrongHarm Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 As a n00b, I wanted to note my appreciation for the producers notes at https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=133&scr=products&lang=en Although I read the manual, I found that the producer's note videos gave me a better understanding and brought it all together. I've only been using the sim for about a week and have found myself answering questions for people who didn't view the 3gigs of videos available from the producer. Thanks for taking the time to provide this. isoul Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Is it me or in the Training Videos trainer doesn't use the realistic flight model? He is very accurate at doing everything!
EtherealN Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 He's just that good. ;) (The guy flying the Ka-50 in the Kamov demo video (http://www.patricksaviation.com/videos/Force_Feedback/485/) isn't using realistic flight model either. ;) ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
Bucic Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 It has most probably been pointed out before but during startup procedure (PN #1) Wags says about rotor RPM being at 9000. I think he meant 900. Just a spoken typo ;) This is why having RPM indicators in percentage of the maximum value for cadets is handy :) F-5E simpit cockpit dimensions and flight controls Kill the Bloom - shader glow mod Poor audio Doppler effect in DCS [bug] Trees - huge performance hit especially up close
