Bee_Sting Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 can the ka-50 fire off the kh-29t? it would be great if it could and it would give you a longer range to hit targets. kh-29t is a fire and forget missile(i hope it is). that would be nice.
Boberro Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 No it can't. Too heavy. Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
Bee_Sting Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 it's a weight problem if the weight was less(how much less) it can be used?
Eddie Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Any weapon the Ka-50 is cleared to carry is already available in the sim.

isoul Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 (edited) if the weight was less(how much less) it can be used? The Kh-29T(685kg) exceeds Kh-25ML's(299kg) weight by approximately 130%... Its warhead weight(320kg) alone exceed the Kh-25ML overall weight! The Kh-29L guidance method(semi-active laser) is the same as Kh-25ML but it has only 10km maximum range. On the other hand Kh-29T and Kh-29TE have 12km and 30km range respectively but they are TV-guided missiles. If we pressume that Ka-50's sytems are able to guide such missiles I personally doubt that Shkval can aquire a target at 30km away (unless the target is a ship quite large which is visible at long distances and provided that the atmosphere is very clear).
