peyvolt Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 (edited) I have problems with texture, when I change different aircraft, sometimes textures don´t work or is transprence, like the canopyglass, only with my aircrafts that I´m making please help me!!!!:helpsmilie: Edited January 28, 2010 by peyvolt
A.S Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 dont play around with fogparam values in gfx.cfg to much :music_whistling: dunno ..check it.....can* cause unvisible (transparent) jets flying around if you mess around with it wrong [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
monotwix Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Materials have transparency and you forgot to do some thing in that area. Was it a texture? I.e. to do: export the duplicate without the texture. Apply a different map. Does Su-27 look like a jallyfish? I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.
peyvolt Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 sorry, but I dont understand anything that you have said
monotwix Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Nor do I. That’s fine, I thought that you were taking a piss but you not, so I didn’t know. sorry. I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.
Frazer Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Stealth! :D Maybe post this at the ADA Mod Team forums? They must know a lot about this stuff. Forum | Videos | DCS:BS Demo1 / Demo2 | YouTube Channel [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
peyvolt Posted January 29, 2010 Author Posted January 29, 2010 (edited) I have removed the textures, And the aircrats are in white, but when I change aircraft and come back to the same aircrat the material change color, or it is transparance, is not the texture, is the material I think, but I don´t know, do I need do anythnig with lomutils for each material? monotwix Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 (edited) Select the material that you have applied to your model and check the opacity make sure it’s being set to 100. [ATTACH]35822[/ATTACH] Edited January 29, 2010 by monotwix I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.

monotwix Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 (edited) I’m glad you’ve found the solution. I had similar problems when I first started and I think it was to do with texture naming when the textures did not render in the game. These are my recommendations to avoid texture problems: 1. Texture pixel ratio should be to the power of 2 e.g. 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, so you can have a texture 1024x1024 or 1024x2048 etc. 2. The max materials should be standard with only diffuse map type. 3. Texture names must not have spaces and mustn’t be changed after applying it to max materials, only certain alterations needed when exporting into CDDS. 4. Certain changes in LOMUTILS plugins could result in in the texture being invisible or polygon misalignment with the camera in the simulation so care must be taken when inserting LODs. These are the main things to consider and also 3D discussion forum is better suited for this stuff. Another thing to be aware of is pixel/inch resolution and colour 1, 8 and 16 bit RGB, I think 72 or other pixel/inch resolution and 8-16 bit RGB for BMP files works in LO but for TGA with alpha it needs 8 bit. And this is where I’m loosing my recollection. Edited January 30, 2010 by monotwix I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.
