Hello all.

Has anyone run into the following issue:

Out of the Blue my the TQS (Cougar Throttle) stopped working. I did not flash or change any settings on the PC. It has been working fine for years. This past weekend I went to use it and it no longer seems active.

The Flight controller works fine... All buttons Hats and Axis report.

The TQS is dead.. no buttons, sliders or Axis report.

Device drivers seem to be ok.

Things I tried:

  • Driver Reinstall.
  • Firmware flash without the throttle connected.
  • Removal of All USB drivers
  • Different USB port
  • Took appart both FLCS and TQS (Cougar) to check for loose or cut wires check the boards for burns or shorts.
  • Reconnect with Tigger depressed
  • Installed without drivers to see if it reports using windows game controllers window
  • Restarts on the stick

I am not sure what else to do outside of buying a new unit. But if it's not broken I don't want to get another one just to get it and have it do the same thing.

The PC that this thing is hooked up to is an XP pc running SP1

It is running AVAST and some sort of Firewall software. Could the firewall software block comms to the throttle?

This install of the OS and software on the PC is less then 1 year old.

Thanks in advance... -Bones

Or a loose wire. Many Cougar owners have learned to solder, including me. Open 'er up and take a look.
