That's what I'm waiting for....Ivybridge. Ivybridge i7 sockets release this March, but the new LGA 2011 will follow for enthusiasts (probably code for expensive LOL).
With its PCI-E 3.0 and 22 nm technology, its going to be much faster clock for clock than Sandybridge. It will have double the transistor density of Sandy Bridge, but also support memory speeds up to 2133MHz and base clock overclocking. By overclocking the motherboard makers can offer memory speeds up to 3000MHz.:thumbup:
3 Ghz memory speed, can't wait!
