I have just migrated to a new computer , AMD PhenomII 955 4gig DDR3 with a Radeon 5670 1gig card. I'm using windows 7 64bit home premium. I'd love some help on how to beat this error, I tried searching to no avail. Thanks!!!
topdog Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 It's only started happening in the last half hour or so it seems, search again and you should find some stuff on it now :D It's a database server error on their side, if alerts/alarmbells haven't already woken up the DBAs (admins) to fix it, "A dedicated mailbox for activation and payment problems" is where you'll need to request help from, and tell them they've got a database error to get fixed asap. I had that last night also. Wasted hours thinking it was my machine or wrong number etc. It was obviously the server was full or down or misconfigured. If you look up auto growth you find something about microsoft SQL server settings. I got up this morning and tried my serial again. Low and behold the green line kept going. As I type this you are playing right now because you probably tried agin also. i tried the e-mail thing also and the message came back as unaccepted or something like that. What a nice sim once you get it going. Reminds me of FA/18 days:) happy flying Rossco Edited March 1, 2010 by RosscoW :joystick:[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]My Happy Place: MSI Red Dragon SE Cool Master Case,MSI Z370 Gaming M5 M/B,Intel Core i7-8700K CPU,Cooler master 750 Watt P/S,Cool Master Hyper 212 Cooler,1TB SSD, 500 GB SSD, 4 TB 7200 HD's,32 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2666 MHZ Ram,MSI Geforce GTX 1060 6 GB Vid Card,Corsair Gear: Strafe, Harpoon, Void,Logitech Z906 1000 watt Surround,2 Asus 21.5” and 3 x LG 34” monitors,Track IR 5,Thrust Master Warthog Joystick and Throttle,TM Cougar MFD’s,CH Rudder Pedals.Good enough till next week.

Fahhh Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 dude get rid of Win 7 it sux's another micro$oft attempt at a gaming OS and failed... Dude, if you had read the answers so far you would have understood that the problem has absolutely nothing to do with Win7. And stop giving such advices when you don't know what you are talking about. Win7/Vista may not be the perfect gaming OS, but they actually run DCS:BS better that XP, so I guess FC2 will be the same story. The technology advances and it's not Microsoft's fault that some old applications use legacy code that has problems with the OS. Or in the case that SF experienced problems with their database hardware/software...
Spetz Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I had the same type of problem when I resinstalled after a mobo change. It kept saying to ensure system time was set correctly. On the Starforce activation website wiki (forgot the name) on the bottom it tells you to go to your registry and erase the key from there. It worked fine for me. And reactivated right after I erased the CD key
topdog Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Your reply doesn't appear to be any continuation of the problem that occurred with the DB server that weekend (unless it's recurring, but that isn't clear from your message). I would suggest you use the Payment and Activation forum and create a new thread detailing your issue or contact the appropriate addresses in the sticky.
