Stratos Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Maybe I'm doing something wrong, or missing something, but is possible to set an auto-throttle for the Vanilla Su-25? So the plane never slows down of my designated spped until I turn off the auto-throttle? I find really challenging to hit something in the Su-25, now imagine controlling the speed of the toad. So is possible? and if possible, how please? Thanks a lot I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
EtherealN Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I'm not sure I understand your request - you basically want a speedholding autopilot? Boberro Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 99.9% it is not possible ;] Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
EtherealN Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I know of one way, but it would involve programming/scripting knowledge and be a bit of a cheat. :P (LUA export plus keypress generator, basically.) Better to just keep practicing in my opinion. mvsgas Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) I'm 100% sure you can't use auto-throttle in the SU-25 :P:thumbup: Edit That's the best part about the SU-25, you actually have to fly the thing. Well that and you always have a seat during online play because nobody likes it. Edited March 1, 2010 by mvsgas To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
Stratos Posted March 1, 2010 Author Posted March 1, 2010 ARGH Man now I'm really toasted as this thing lost speed as hell. Any tip? I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
EtherealN Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 It would help if you had a track or could describe the situation - otherwise the most helpful tip you are likely to get is "increase throttle when speed decreases"... :P [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
GGTharos Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Stop flying combat and start flying - learn to fly and turn your Su-25. Practice making turns without losing speed, and then you will become used to pulling the correct amount of g without even looking at what you are doing. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
czarnyolek Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Yeah, it flies like a truck. Makes so much difference to LO A-10 witch is arcade really. Wish fast jets would have AFM. Gotta wait few years for DCS fast moving module. Su-25 uses so little fuel that it will be easier just to go full throttle and trying to slow it down while diving, than trying to maintain speed.
tflash Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Trimming is extremely important to keep up speed in the toad. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
