ScEBlack1 Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Hi all I would like to just change a waypoint or two in some missions so it takes me in route mode a new direction, is this info what I am looking for on page 7-73 of the manual under "adding and editing map points (Directly mode)" ? Also can this be done on multiplayer missions when online as well? I just need to be pointed to the correct page in the manual, it can be a bit daunting with the many features for waypoint/route editing pages, thanks all.
EtherealN Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Everything you can do in singleplayer you can also do in multiplayer, as far as navigation goes. Note that you're probably going to have better success using the PVI-800, since that thing actually talks to the rest of the chopper. ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
ScEBlack1 Posted March 3, 2010 Author Posted March 3, 2010 Thanks EtherealN I just want to change a waypoint or two to move me around a bend instead or subvert a particular location, I watched wags Abbris video and I think I know how to do this now, pretty simple it seems. Thanks.
JHzlwd Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Thanks EtherealN I just want to change a waypoint or two to move me around a bend instead or subvert a particular location, I watched wags Abbris video and I think I know how to do this now, pretty simple it seems. Thanks. This is easy unless I misuderstand. With the mission up in Editor simply click the Waypoint you wamt to move. The entire route will become highlighted. Now drag the waypoint to where you want it and "SAVE". ScEBlack1 Posted March 5, 2010 Author Posted March 5, 2010 Thanks mate, but, I meant in cockpit during ramp up for the ABRIS, not in the mission editor.
S77th-ReOrdain Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Hey jessi1, if you're on the ramp, it's actually easier to do it as described in section 7-50 "Editing a waypoints location". That way you can move waypoints around without unloading the current plan. Keep in mind that when you change waypoints in ABRIS, it does not effect the route that's stored in the PVI-800. You'd have to edit those coordinates manually to sync.
ScEBlack1 Posted March 5, 2010 Author Posted March 5, 2010 Thanks ReOrdain exactly what i was looking for, yes I know about the PVI-800 which I normally dont use for waypoints, I like to not use route mode incase I need to evade quickly I dont have to remember to turn it off which has happened before, thanks.
