Flashing Triangles

Hi,

 

I have this issue in other games such as Mass Effect2 where there are small and large areas on the screen that flicker in the shape of triangles. Any ideas on how to setup my PC to avoid or minimize this?

 

Radeon 4870 1 gb with an LG 24 inch LCD 4000:1 contrast, Win7 32.

 

Otherwise graphics look really good.

Sounds like temperature issues or bad drivers?

Try monitoring your graphics card temperature to see if it's too hot.

Ok, but it is 63 degrees in the PC room and I have a server case with plenty of fans and vents. This has been going on for a while with many drivers including the newest one out.

what do you mean with 63° in the pc room? What program do you use to read the GPU temp?

You can try to limit fps too cool the gpu. In /config/graphics.cfg try MaxFPS = 35;

I mean the room the PC is located in is at 63 degrees Fahrenheit.

 

I'm wondering if it is the card because it has always done this and I just thought it was a setting but no matter what I adjust it happens right away as soon as game is started.

you seriously need to check the GPU temp under load. saying that your room is at 63° F certainly DON'T mean that the GPU/CPU do...

Point taken, any suggestions for a program to monitor temp of GPU?
