bobd Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 What file besides desktop icon launches FC2? Nothing I find in the folder works. Asus ROG Z390, I9 9900K , 32 GB DDR4, EVGA GTX 2080 Ti , Win10 64, Rift CV1 & S VR
Nate--IRL-- Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Just the desktop icon, nothing else will load it. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Wilde Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 But the desktop icon only invokes the following command: "C:\games\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\bin\x86\stable\Launcher.exe" --console or "C:\games\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\bin\x86\stable\simulator.exe" --net gui The former for single-player, the latter for multiplayer.
Lava Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 It also tells the program to start in "C:\Games\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2" I suspect that it won't know where to find data files unless it's run 'from' that location
bobd Posted April 2, 2010 Author Posted April 2, 2010 The reason I ask is so I can set up my controller profile, & point to the file starting FC2. Even pointing to the desktop icon won't work. I'd like to see what the cmd window says when starting the game, but don't know how to keep it open long enough. Asus ROG Z390, I9 9900K , 32 GB DDR4, EVGA GTX 2080 Ti , Win10 64, Rift CV1 & S VR
bobd Posted April 2, 2010 Author Posted April 2, 2010 Any help? Asus ROG Z390, I9 9900K , 32 GB DDR4, EVGA GTX 2080 Ti , Win10 64, Rift CV1 & S VR
Chops Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 I am also trying to setup my Nvidia Profile and need to point to the game .exe to change my video card graphics settings. I am just using the sim for single player. It seems to be the simulator.exe file, correct?
slug88 Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Try "C:\games\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\bin\x86\stable\simulator.exe" (as per above) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
bobd Posted April 2, 2010 Author Posted April 2, 2010 That doesn't work either Asus ROG Z390, I9 9900K , 32 GB DDR4, EVGA GTX 2080 Ti , Win10 64, Rift CV1 & S VR
ECV56_Finger Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 It seems to be the simulator.exe file, correct? Yeap, that´s correct. In order for the changes to affect the game, you need to apply the profile to simulator.exe [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
topdog Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 You'd probably want the profile applied to both launcher.exe and simulator.exe. The former for viewing and altering your key/controller assignments in the configuration, the latter for actually applying it whilst flying in game. Otherwise it might seem a bit odd trying to configure the game based on the feedback delivered through the wrong profile, which then doesn't apply itself properly in-game, and vice versa. Distiler Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 That doesn't work either Simulator.exe works when you enter the cockpit. Launcher.exe works when you're in the UI. AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
bobd Posted April 2, 2010 Author Posted April 2, 2010 I think I understand now. I applied simulator.exe to the profile. Then start it with desktop icon. It seems to work. Thanks for your input. Asus ROG Z390, I9 9900K , 32 GB DDR4, EVGA GTX 2080 Ti , Win10 64, Rift CV1 & S VR
