Yes,its installed to default eagle dyn along with Blackshark in programs.

Click Start -> Run then type in this:

%localappdata% [enter]

Should open up an Explorer window in what is normally a hidden folder tree from you (i.e. not normally seen when just browsing around in Explorer).

Now from here go into VirtualStore -> Program Files (x86) -> Eagle Dynamics -> LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2 -> Temp folders.

You should find the requested files here.

Hi there,found'em...does this help, theres a bunch of crash files, pretty much the same. also updated sound drivers,no change.

Posted (edited)

Try what COff said (use Microsoft drivers).

Also, and this is advised for many games and programs, deactivate UAC (google this) and, if it doesen't work, uninstall FC2 and reinstall it outside /Program Files folder, running setup.exe as an administrator (right mouse click on it to acces this option). Many problems exist because this. Notice that when reinstalling you don't loose any activation.

not microsoft drivers, but outside of programs folder.

Well, it says "C:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\"

So it's still in there.

Anyway, deinstall realtek drivers and/or deactivate UAC.

I have pretty much the same problem. It was wokring fine last night then when I loaded today no go. Sounds like I have the exact same crash too. Tried loading BS and it now crashes too. I don't think it has anything to do with the sound card or anything.

recent crash log.

Hm, the custom install location - it that one correct? "C:\Documents\Eagle Dynamics"?

Or is the system reporting that lockon is in the wrong location now?

And if you have updated / reinstalled your sound drivers - can you please attach a new DxDiag, thanks.

What c0ff suggested here:

Looking at your DxDiag.txt I found a strange thing:

Description: Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)
       Driver Provider: Realtek Semiconductor Corp.
        HW Accel Level: Basic
             Cap Flags: 0x0
   Min/Max Sample Rate: 0, 0
Static/Strm HW Mix Bufs: 0, 0

"Min/Max Sample Rate: 0, 0" looks weird, as well as "Static/Strm HW Mix Bufs: 0, 0".

I also have a Realtek sound ship, but use Microsoft drivers, instead of Realtek.

From my DxDiag.txt:

Description: Speakers (High Definition Audio Device)
       Driver Provider: Microsoft
        HW Accel Level: Basic
             Cap Flags: 0xF1F
   Min/Max Sample Rate: 100, 200000
Static/Strm HW Mix Bufs: 1, 0

So I suggest you to uninstall Realtek drivers and use Microsoft ones.

is that either the DirectX install may be the problem - or the sound-system and it's driver you are using is broken.

The combination seems the be the cause for you.

So fixing either the sound system + drivers (most likely cause) or reinstalling DirectX until it works (less likely the cause) may be the way out for you.

It can also be your OS that is causing this - and only a reinstall will solve it - but it's a bit hard to tell at this point.

That is until we see more people with the excact same problem (with DxDiag's to prove it) - then we get a better understanding if it's a problem related to FC2. :)

c0000005 errors are memory related

Yes, access violations are memory related - it mostly indicates that memory was accessed where it shouldnt have been accessed.

Quite common if there's corrupt stacks due to bugs / problems - and most often evident when drivers are involved.

But then again - most software require memory - the error doesn't indicate a hardware problem. :)

Hi there,does this help...?

I have same ploblem. Can anybody help me?

Dog, you got a hint that Audio was involved when you crashed.

This means you can try the following:

- Update sounds drivers

- If you have custom codecs (Editing software, DVD/DivX players & such may install extra codecs) you can uninstall them to see if it makes a difference.

- Refresh your DirectX install

- Check to see if you have drivers for the mainboard that needs updating. Often you need to visit the mainboard vendor to update them.
