Raven434th
when in enroute mode in a mig, the distance counter tracks distance to waypoint. But when you switch on the radar systems,it stops giving distance?I had always thought it was a redunant system therefore tracks regardless of system employed?...is this how its supposed to work or is it a bug? MODUALS OWNED AH-64D APACHE, Ka-50, UH-1H, Mi-8MTV2, Mi-24,Gazelle, FC3, A-10C, A-10CII, Mirage 2000C, F-14 TOMCAT, F/A-18C HORNET, F-16C VIPER, AV-8B/NA, F-15 E, F-4 Phantom, MiG-21Bis, L-39, F-5E, AJS 37 Viggen, MiG-19, F-86, MiG-15Bis, Spitfire IX, Bf-109K, Fw-190D, P-51D, CA, SYRIA, AFGHANISTAN,NEVADA, NORMANDY, PERSIAN GULF, MARIANA ISLANDS,SUPER CARRIER, WORLD WAR II ASSETS PACK, HAWK T1 SYSTEM SPECS AMD 7600X 4.7 Ghz CPU , MSI RX 6750 12 gig GPU ,32 gig ram on Win11 64bit. EtherealN
By switcing on radar systems, do you mean just activating radar, or activating BVR mode? The latter should, as far as I know, cause NAV to disengage. Raven434th
I mean just switching between Nav mode and any other radar mode. Nate--IRL--
It is not so much a bug, but rather a design decision left over from the Flanker 2 days. Matt has mentioned it may be looked at, but don't hold your breath. Vekkinho
Yes, it's a leftover from Flanker days...you see IRL steam gauges work independently form HUD and modes you choose but in Flanker/Lomac/FC not. So each time you swith from NAV to anything else your HSI will stop counting km and heading... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
