Evilducky Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 (edited) I got the Su-30 to use the Kh-29t missiles and the KAB-500L/1500L's but I could not get the F-16 to use and Air to Ground mode at all. Same with the F-18C. :( edit: I got the F-18 to work for A2G but the F-16 is strange.. Looking at the files, its there but on the menu screen its not showing an A2G button for it. I dont know where to look to change that. Edited June 3, 2010 by Evilducky
Robin_Hood Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Have you deleted the keyboard.lua ? If you don't any changes you make in default.lua will not be taken in account. ATM, that's the only reason I can think of 2nd French Fighter Squadron
Evilducky Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 I got it.. When he did the F-16, he used the F-15's keyboard layout. I copied over the Su-27 and it works now :) Just need to figure out the GBU-10's and 12's now. I got the AGM-65D's and K's to work though :)
HiJack Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Well, the efA mod works but it's still the same cockpits :( I think this is a good start do ;) For now I'l stick with the defaults.
71st_Mastiff Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 (edited) Any news on F16 textures or pits? I really want to do some sead and A/A with the F16. It's a shame ED missed the potential money maker with the F16, they could of just made it a simple sead and A/A both modes, could implement a key to switch between A/A and A/G mode just like the real thing. A/A MFD on the left and A/G MFD on the right. and to use both modes have a ground base radar in a simple formate. like a ATC mode they have in LOATC. I'm sure it would be well worth the project hell If I was a millionaire. I would subsidize the project. :book: I got it.. When he did the F-16, he used the F-15's keyboard layout. Moa Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 (edited) Mastiff, it's not money that counts it is time. If I had the time I'd be working on a F-16 and F-18 pit (the same technique can be used for both). By pit I don't mean textures, I mean working MFDs and clickability - using the LEAVU2 framework. Am currently working on some small controls for F-18 (Angle-of-Attack indexer) for LEAVU2. Not much time since I want stats to be finished next month (I have to play 'hooky' from stats to work on stuff like cockpit controls). One day (later this year, after stats and mission generator/dynamic campaign) I'll get around to doing those pits to my level of satisfaction. Edited June 15, 2010 by Moa 1
Robin_Hood Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Wow, cool, Moa about the AoA indexer and other things. But will it need a 2nd screen like LEAVU ? Same for MFDs, I guess ? 2nd French Fighter Squadron
Moa Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 You can use LEAVU2 on the same screen and computer as LockOn. In this case you'll need to run LockOn in a window (not full-screen) to see the display. You can also run LEAVU2 on the same computer but on a separate screen (multi-monitor setup). The last (and best option) is to run it on a separate computer. You could even use multiple computers if you have them lying around - including Macs and Linux boxes (it's Java after all, you just need a platform that supports the JoGL OpenGL 3D libraries). I should finish the AoA control this weekend and as part of this I was hoping to package LEAVU2 into a nice executable and ModMan package this weekend. I'm in discussion with Yoda about this. Hopefully it'll save users some effort in installing/upgrading/uninstalling.
Ramstein Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 I tried the F-18,, and yes, cannot drop bombs with the make AI planes flyable mod.. 71st_Mastiff Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 hey Ram did you follow the read me? you saved your copies of Config folder and the Scrpits foder, also when you uninstal the mod or deactivate it make sure you delet the aircrafts folder in the inputs folder like this :\Eagel Dynamics\FC2\config\inputs\aircraft\ make sure you have only the original aircraft of FC2 and reinstall your backed up folders. same with the scripts. folder. Config folder Scripts folder when reverting back to FC2 vanilla delete the aircrafts folder and scripts folder. copy backed up configs folder and scripts folder back into the FC2 folder. nopw I can't fly FC2.0, the game will not unpause.. :helpsmilie: When I tried the Fla any plane mod, I used the latest Modman to install it, I then used the uninstall..now when I try to fly, it is paused and will not unpause.. Robin_Hood Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 Yes, you must be careful uninstalling this mod, because Modman isn't used to deal with new folders ;) Best way is to put the mod on a separate install. As for the F/A-18, you should be able to drop bombs, and rockets allright 2nd French Fighter Squadron
Ramstein Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 (edited) I already replied that all is well, I put my backup files back in, and it fixed the screwed up files.. I always keep backup files for cases like this.. I don't know why my response is missing... It looks like somone moved it just when I replied and split this thread.. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=54940 and no the ground weapons do not work in the F-18 mod because the cockpit they put in does not have ground weapon capability.. thanx anyways.. ;) Edited June 20, 2010 by Ramstein ASUS Strix Z790-H, i9-13900, WartHog HOTAS and MFG Crosswind G.Skill 64 GB Ram, 2TB SSD EVGA Nvidia RTX 2080-TI (trying to hang on for a bit longer) 55" Sony OLED TV, Oculus VR
Robin_Hood Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 F-15C cockpit ? Yes it does. Rockets and dumb bombs only, though, but I use the capability on a regular basis ;) 2nd French Fighter Squadron
Shnowman Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 For 29K 3D model, a team have project and capabilities to working on... No more words on that ;) look this => That's a test i have made (poor piloting because speed take...) news about the mod??????
little-Dog Posted July 8, 2010 Author Posted July 8, 2010 Hey sry no not really at the moment. I have to write tests for my study. But in 2 Weeks I have a lot of time and will continue work on a new and better efa Mod Version with new great feautures. Kind Regards little-Dog [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Pougatchev Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 About the 29K mod, just be patient, a fine 3D model take a lot of time (especially when you have a life, a work at the factory in summer, etc... :music_whistling:), and when we think the moment was good for screen, we show you what we are doing  /
Joif Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 This mod is awesome!! Im currently creating custom missions to play online so was wondering if there is a list of the currently working weapons for each aircraft and any procedures you need to go through to get them working? and whats the future plans for weapon compatibility? I would love to use some of the missiles and guided munitions not currently working especially for the Tornado + Harrier even if its off a laser designator rather than radar. B-52 armed to the testis is also great fun if you get a good line of targets, seems the flight model is too agile for its size (managed to loop on full realism). Many thanks to the developer(s) I'll be keeping an eye on this for future updates :)
Mushu Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 For using guided ground weapons, you must have the A-10A or Su-25/T cockpit in your plane. So if you want to do WildWeasel mission, you have to put SU-25T cockpit. (unfortunately..) Guided bombs works with A-10A cockpit too. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Joif Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 (edited) Thanks for the response, I dont think Ive managed get launch guided bombs with an A-10 pit yet but that could be down to my poor mission editing skills. May be abit of a noob question is there any plans to implement carrier launch? AI planes have no trouble using the catapult :D Edited July 27, 2010 by Joif
Robin_Hood Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 As for the B-52, I personnaly edit curves and reduce saturation, wich makes it less agile ;) As far as catapult is concerned, see here, it seems there are workarounds : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=56315 2nd French Fighter Squadron
Joif Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Thats largely what I have been doing, most aircraft with a decent payload I have tried will get enough speed for carrier take off (harrier epic fails) aslong as you use the whole carrier. Just abit of a PIA taxi'ing to the correct spot if you need to launch immediately, I'll be interested to see where you get on that other thread though ;) Good luck
Robin_Hood Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Yes it's generally possible to take-off with a reasonable weight ; sometimes you have to taxi to the stern of the ship, though. Frankly, I don't feel too limited. It would of course be nice to have a working catapult. Especially for planes with non-afterburning engine, with which it can be quite hard to take-off with a decent payload 2nd French Fighter Squadron
