Ben Sones Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Placed an order for Black Shark through the DCS website, and while I got an email that says that the transaction went through, there doesn't seem to be any way to download the game. There is no download link in Files/Products/, and my Transaction History is empty (just a message that says "You have not paid for anything yet."). Except that, according to the email, I have. Did something get messed up, or is there normally a wait for orders to process (I got the confirmation email about an hour ago)?
EtherealN Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 If the order wenth through you should have an entry under the "payments" link that pops up after logging in, and download links through Files/Products. Have you verified whether payment was charged to your card? Ben Sones Posted April 22, 2010 Author Posted April 22, 2010 Just called cardholder services and no, the payment doesn't show up. The email I got says "Your payment has been processed successfully," though.
Ben Sones Posted April 23, 2010 Author Posted April 23, 2010 Well, it's been a full day now, and my order still hasn't processed (payment history is still empty, and no download is available). I'd kind of like to get the game before the weekend, so hopefully someone can help me out, here.
EtherealN Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Then it would seem that the transaction actually failed, which would mean that there is nothing ED can do to expedite it. My personal guess is that you can safely try again, but I'll send a note to the relevant staff so you can get their input. Ben Sones Posted April 23, 2010 Author Posted April 23, 2010 Okay. If I can get a confirmation that the transaction failed, that would be great. I'll probably buy it through Direct2Drive if it did. I'm not sure I want to take a chance on the store here again (especially since we're getting close to the weekend, and browsing the threads here, it sounds like the store here doesn't process orders on weekends). I can provide the transaction number from my confirmation email, if needed.
EtherealN Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 It does process orders on the weekends. What happened last weekend was an unfortunate error in the system that should not happen again. vaiman Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 I have just had the same problem. I got the first email and the "You have not paid for anything yet" on the site. I have since bought it from D2D and sent an email to activation@digitalcombatsimulator.com But I got a "Delivery Status Notification (Failure)" email reply. I hope I dont get billed twice. Who do I email if the sticky advice is incorrect? Cheers. Looking forwarsd to playing this :)
Trident06 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I have had the same problem; paid twice because it didn't appear to work the first (or second) time, then received two payment confirmation emails, then later on two serial number emails. No option to download from the site and my account is saying I have not paid for anything yet. I have tried various email addresses all of which have been bounced back as delivery failures, except one - activation@lockon.ru but I have had no reply yet. I really hope this can be resolved quickly as it seems like a really good sim and I'm itching to get my hands on it! If there is anybody from DCS/ED viewing this forum, please can we have an update as to what is going on. My login is Trident06. Many thanks!
Ben Sones Posted April 26, 2010 Author Posted April 26, 2010 Yeah, I'm in the same situation now, unfortunately. When the first order failed to go through, I went ahead and bought the game from D2D. Afterwards, I got a PM from a member of the ED team asking for my transaction number so they could fix the order. I PMed him back and explained that I didn't want them to reprocess the order, since I had already bought a copy through D2D. I gave him the transaction number in case he needed it to make sure that the order was properly cancelled, and he must have misunderstood me, because he then reprocessed the order. Doh! So now I have two copies of Black Shark. I sent another reply via PM requesting that the order be cancelled and my card refunded, but I haven't heard back yet. :(
vaiman Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 (edited) Well, I now have a transaction ID on my "Payments" section. !!??! This is a joke. How can D2D sell your own product in less than 5 secs and you cant even reply to an email. I am going to call my bank in the morning to reject all payments related to this fiasco. Shame, as I wanted to buy FC 2. EDIT: Yet another email failure: This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification. Delivery to the following recipients failed. webmaster@digitalcombatsimulator.com support@digitalcombatsimulator.com activation@digitalcombatsimulator.com Edited April 26, 2010 by vaiman
Turuk_Makto Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I´d copy the url and send it directly to wags by pm, if anybody can do somethings about this or say anythings about this...then he is...sending him the url is what I´d do firts...paying and recieving nothings???...hello?? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Just want to say thank you ED

Ben Sones Posted April 26, 2010 Author Posted April 26, 2010 I still need help, too! I'm in the same situation as vaiman, basically.
vaiman Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 (edited) Hey, thanks. I just want to make sure I'm not billed twice for DCS. The D2D version I have got is working great. BTW I just bought FC 2 and the serial etc came through with no problem. I used IE instead of Firefox if that makes any difference? Just need to install it :) Edited April 26, 2010 by vaiman
Trident06 Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Still no joy for me, although I did get an email from Alexander Sobol(?) at DCS saying I would get a refund for one of my transactions and he will let me know later which one it is. Still no change on the website though, so I still can't download it!!!
EtherealN Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 You can download it fine, even install it and start setting up your controllers. Activation is only requested when you fly the first time or initiate the multiplayer interface. Alexander Sobol is the man that handles these things at ED and what he says he'll do have a tendency to get done - but unfortunately he does have a lot to do. Apologies for the inconvenience and thankyou for your patience. Trident06 Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 (edited) There is no download button on the site, only a 'buy now' on the home page and a 'pay by protx' in the files section; both take me through to the sage pay website to pay again. I'm guessing that because my account (on the DCS website) is still showing no payment has been made, a download button will not appear until it shows I have paid (which I have!). I do have an activation code (well, two actually because I paid twice), so if I could download it I could also activate it! If I'm missing something and there is a download button somewhere, please can you point me in the right direction? Many thanks Edited April 27, 2010 by Trident06
EtherealN Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Doh, sorry, I got mixed up and thought it was FC2, not DCS. My mistake. Tez Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 The issue is solved. Now all serial numbers are issued immediately after purchase. All stuck transactions are fixed. Please accept our apologies for this issue. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] =653=Tez
Trident06 Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Still no joy for me I'm afraid; the website appears as it did before (no download button and account still saying no payments have been made). I checked my bank account and payment has definitely been taken.
Ben Sones Posted April 27, 2010 Author Posted April 27, 2010 Tez--no problem! Thanks for getting everything sorted out for me.
Trident06 Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Quick update! I've just logged on to the site in Explorer instead of Firefox and it all looks good! I'm off to download it now. Anyone else had a similar issue with Firefox?
Tez Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Firefox is fine. One transaction of yours just took more time than expected to fix. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] =653=Tez
