Unlike some people here are saying (with a grudge for being unsuccessfull online) even without it, the kill ratio will be the same. Just less tendon pains and some more on the immersion side. Too bad that the time was not enough to have in the original sim (then the comments from some guys would not be there all the time). ERI, ON or OFF, makes no differents for me anyway, if ERI has do be OFF for the checks, then I would not useing it. Tacview is OFF for me as well, it seems it generates stutter, and this huge amount of data lol, I don't need it. + file checking
ScEBlack1 Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 (edited) Default If ED wanted LEAVU+ERI implemented they very easily could have done it, but, they did not so to open up the Export.Lua to people to make changes can get very ugly, yes the Eagle does have those items in real life, but, I think the Russian planes must have more than Waypoint and Radar scan as well in there MFD. My 2 cents. That said I think LEAVU+ERI is fantastic and my hat is off the Yoda for his talents, but, it is not part of anything the developers had intended.......mods are different (hud color, skins, style runways, etc, etc) If it came down to it my vote is for default, I have no problem shooting down or getting shot down with how things are in default and my conscious would tell me it was good tactics on either side. So it's not about partitioning everyone into separate categories, rather it's 4 yes-no polls compiled into one with each giving it's "yes" percentage. So many that they add up to the product just never getting released if they were to do all of them, so they had to prioritize. My 2 cents. Since your 2c are based on a huge assumption, I'll tell you exactly what happened and what was intended. We asked for ERI to be included (one way or another); the devs said it was out of scope (read: we don't have time for this), and that was it. Instead, they offered the interface found within export.lua so that people can supplement functionality themselves, and build cockpits. And no, Russian aircraft don't necessarily have more. The mIG-29 just has a HUD repeater there and nothing more (nothing at all). It's navigation system takes 3WP's in RL, too. Yeah, just 3. There's no map display of any sort. Flankers do a little more. Old but wrong argument. Could argue the same about 120 BVR maddog capability right untill FC2. Time at wich is tas was finaly fixed, IFF etc etc. In any serious talk with developers, will prompt them to answer you they simply left it out for later along with many other missing or broken items. ScEBlack1 Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 I have no argument here and yes GG it was only an assumption, like I said I like LEAVU+ERI for what it adds to the Eagle, but, given a choice for it being used for majority of servers online I vote default..........either way to me it does not really matter because I can kill or be killed online with or without it the same way.
