Cdr.Instigator Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 I got the Track for VFTC Airshow..I did a complete edit of the views and it took me about an hour. After I had all them nice angles and whatnot..I saved to a diffrent name.. Before I could make an AVI..I checked the file by replaying it..and it was all wrong..Maybe 2% of it was what I saved..the other was not what I had done.. It seem that the camera angle were 100 virtual ft. to what I originally saved.. Is the track replay still broken like it was on 1.01? and is there some trick I don't know about to fix this awful waste of time..?
Conuk Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 I got this and played it... the views seemed to be missing quite a lot of the action ... was this because it was live .... and it didnt actually start for some minutes ?
Cdr.Instigator Posted April 26, 2005 Author Posted April 26, 2005 Well, It takes about 5 minutes for the jets to start taxing..but once they take off the action is on.. I didn't bother watching the track as it was..so I watched it with the angles and views I wanted.. It was seriously a great show..After watching and took the time to edit the track to some great view angles.. I saved.. Well, needless to say I took about one hour to edit and save it..Checking up on the saved track I noticed it wasn't but about 2 % what I had viewed..and sellected angles.. It played like my camera angles were 100 feet from where I had originally saved the track after editing.. So I ask..and NO ONE RESPONDS !!!.. ANyone.. Answere me this, Is this track player broke.. It dosen't seem to play the tracks back like you have saved..after spending a lot of time editing..? Is it broke like 1.01 was? Someone answere this please.... What can I do to fix this..? Is there something I missed while saving the track? or will it allways end up playing differently than what you saved it as..?

But, why don't ED Team take 30 seconds to answere me..? That's really sad. I know they are busy and have other engagements and daily work to do.. But, since they have answered other threads..Why don't they answere my simple question.. If anyone other than ED Team can answere me..Please do All I need to know is , Is there a way to replay a track exactly the same way you edit it...?

There was quite a bit of testing of multiplayer tracks during beta and the issues appeared to have been resolved. One thing, though, that was guaranteed to screw up track views for awhile (and I thought had been resolved) was allowing the camera to "ground". Example: View of a parked aircraft and, in trying to provide a low angle, slewing the camera down until it hit the ground. But, as I said, I thought this was resolved. The only reason I'm thinking of this as a possibility are your comments later in this thread about there being no action for the first 5 minutes. And I was wondering if you might have grounded the camera in trying to provide some interesting views. Out of curiosity, are you using a "vanilla" version of 1.1 or do you have mods installed? It concerns me that, with all the modding being done, track replays will not run properly with some mods installed. I'm not concerned with skins, etc but rather mods that have an effect on default external and cockpit views, etc. I fly a vanilla 1.1 and have edited a number of tracks myself without any issues. But these have been single player. Do you still have the original track? And does it play back the way it was recorded? Have you tried to edit it again? And, if so, what was the result. Thanks you Mr.Han that's my problem then.. " Ironhand" My 1.1 copy is Vanilla.if by Vanilla you mean un-modded.. I have no mod of anykind yet.. Thanks for answereing Hans. I guess that's my issue I was trying toview the track with my own angles. Enough said..
