Can't run this well.

This sim is great but whenever I play a campaign mission, the game doesn't run very good. Everything else on the game runs fine, just not campaign. Any ideas? Thanks!

 

I use ATI RadeonHD 3200 Integrated and AMD Phenom ll X4 810 quad core processor.

I had nearly everything on low and it still didn't run well so I put everything on high and got the same results.

I would suspect he doesn't want to say as he probably doesn't meet the minimum requirements, and on a laptop.

I have 6 GB of DDR2 but I'm new to computers so I have no idea about the other part.

Thats a start, you could go and reply with CPU, Video card, 6gb of what kind of ram with that amount would it be safe to say you have vista 64bit or win7 64bit?

Is it a laptop? If not you probably need to get a new graphics card. I'm not familiar with ATI cards but the one you have being a onboard doesn't sound like it will be up to the job.

Yeah, I have Windows 7 64 bit.

I'm using a desktop and everything(even missions) works fine, just not the campaign levels. I even made a mission with, like, 50 planes in it and it works fine. It's just campaign.

From the in game menu, go options, then system, and it's listed 4 from bottom on the left hand side.

 

From desktop, right click on desktop and select screen resolution, and look for some thing like 1680 * 1050

I use 1600 x 900 but remember its only campaign missions, all other missions and online play work fine.

It's strange. I run campaign mode and I get a slow down also, but I got a much more powerful graphics set up. When you did the mission with the 50 aircraft, did you set this up yourself in the mission editor, if so you probably didn't have all the hidden objects and triggers set up. You could try dropping the screen resolution of your game to something around the 1024 area. It won't look as good, but you might get a boost. You can compare your frame rate in game by hitting ctrl and pause, and seeing what it displays in the top left hand side of your screen. Also are you running FC2 in windowed mode (options > system >check full screen at bottom of LHS).

 

I don't think you are going to get much success with an onboard graphics card.

I use windowed and windowless mode.(and I know how, I'm not THAT stupid :P) Same results with both. Thanks for the tips! Anything else?

In the campaign have you managed to take off? You're frame rate will increase when you get off the ground, it might jump to a playable speed, but landing might be a nightmare ;)

It's actually the opposite for me, taxiing is fine and so is blasting down the runway in afterburner, but once I take off, everything gets all messed up and slow.
