XarBat Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 When I use AutoDescent and get 1 meter off the ground the three stabilazation autopilot programs deactivate. How do I stop this from happening? Also when I use Altitude Hold the RALT Hold light on the overhead panel does not light up; this only happens when I start the Shark manually. What am I doing wrong?

CAT_101st Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 when you get with in ( I think 8m) of the ground with auto hover or decent mode on all the AP's will shut off. Just disable decent mode befor gitting to that alt. You have to land the KA 50 your self if that is what you are trying to do with the auto decent. Frederf Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 It's 4 meters and the descent mode should stop itself there if there's enough authority in the ALT AP channel to do so. Descending below 4m is what causes the AP channels to blink-off. Auto-descent is used mostly in combat to safely lower altitude behind an obstacle. Landing is done much easier without this. RALT indication in the overhead panel means that radar altitude is being held. This requires that the ALT AP channel is on and the altitude source selector switch (BR-RD) is set to "RD."
159th_Viper Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 got the altitude hold light Engaging A/Hover will automatically engage Altitude-Hold. The converse does however not apply - you need to manually deactivate Altitude-Hold once A/Hover is disengaged. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career?
